Dr. John Erickson honored by Tufts medical students
Congratulations to Internal Medicine’s Dr. John Erickson, who is one of six attending physicians recognized by medical school students at Tufts University for excellence in teaching.
In a memo announcing the honor, officials at Tufts University wrote, “Due to their exceptional teaching qualities, dedication, and positive attitude toward students, these physicians have been singled out for special recognition and appreciation by the students and administration of Tufts University School of Medicine. Role models such as these are more important than ever as we educate the next generation of physicians in an increasingly complex environment.”
“This is something to be celebrated as many great teachers contribute to making the Medicine clerkship a success and to be singled out among this group is a special honor,” said Dr. Robert Trowbridge, Director of Undergraduate Medical Education Curriculum at Maine Medical Center. “We know that teaching well is something that takes time, effort, and skill and we are very appreciative of your work and dedication in helping the students learn.”
