It’s my honor to march alongside members of the InterMed family at Pride Portland this weekend. The day’s events exuberantly celebrate the beauty of human diversity, honor the struggles and hard-won gains toward equality and affirm our commitment to building a more just society.

In my time at InterMed, I have been inspired and moved by our team members’ passion for creating safe spaces for all within our walls and for providing the best possible care to our LGBTQIA+ patients. We are proud to provide inclusive care to our patients and understand that this requires commitment to continuous improvement, self-education and increasing cultural competence.

Every day, team members embody our values of providing the highest quality care and treating every individual with dignity and respect. As healthcare professionals, we know that some communities experience disparities in their care and that discrimination has a real impact on health. Our common goal is to ensure that our patients and our colleagues can live their highest, truest expression of themselves.
