- IUD Preparation: Check your insurance regarding coverage prior to IUD placement, a clinical will call you approx. 2 weeks prior to your appointment. We encourage you to eat and drink normally prior to your appointment. You can take 60mg of ibuprofen 1 hour prior to your appointment time to help with cramping. You will be asked to provide a urine sample at the time of your appointment.

- If you are planning to become pregnant the CDC recommends that all women take a prenatal with Folic Acid.
