Abigail Sedenka, Au. D.
My name is Abigail and I am a native Mainer, now living with my husband and pets in the Portland area. For both undergraduate and graduate school I attended out-of-state universities, and by the time I was finished I couldn’t wait to get back home. I went to Syracuse University (Go Orange!) and the University of Connecticut.
My interest in audiology began a long time ago when my grandmother was diagnosed with hearing loss. I went through that process with her first hand, and was with her when she first began wearing hearing aids. Going through the process with her sparked an interest in me, and the rest, as they say is history.
Being an audiologist provides me the opportunity to better the lives of my patients, something I find very rewarding. Helping people is something that is very important to me and this position allows me to do that every day!
One of my interests outside of work is bowling, but please don’t ask about my average! I also like sailing during our short Maine summers, traveling, and drinking tea. And yes, tea can be a hobby, just ask anyone who knows me.
