Amanda Myers, C-FNP
My name is Amanda Myers and I am a family nurse practitioner and clinical coordinator for InterMed Workplace Health at L.L. Bean.
I grew up in Maryland just outside of Washington D.C. and did my undergraduate studies in Boulder, Colo. Following my undergraduate education, I moved to central China to teach English to nursing and medical students.
I returned to the United States to work for the Corporation for National and Community Service (the domestic Peace Corps). After completing a master’s program in public health, I worked for the State of Louisiana in the Department of Public Health. After several years, my heart drew me to Maine for a second master’s program – this one in nursing. Maine quickly became home.
I worked for 8 years providing primary care in a Federally Qualified Community Health Center in Central Maine. In 2008, I joined InterMed and began my specialty practice in Occupational Medicine. I am extremely fortunate to be among the great team at InterMed. I feel privileged to work with each unique patient in the context of their place of work.
When not in the office, you can find me with my two daughters hiking, skiing, gardening and dancing in the kitchen.
