Benjamin Liess, MD, FACS

My name is Benjamin Liess, and I’m a board-certified otolaryngologist who specializes in both pediatric and adult ear, nose, and throat care. I completed my residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics. After extensive training, I moved to Portland with my wife and two children. I enjoy outdoor sports and the many activities my children are involved with.

I am pleased to offer patients of all ages complete otolaryngology care. My areas of interest include allergy and sinus disorders, snoring and sleep apnea, ear and hearing disorders, tonsils and adenoid disorders, facial plastic surgery, head and neck oncology, voice disorders/laryngology, salivary gland disease, and thyroid and parathyroid disease.

I strive to stay current with medical knowledge and surgical skills in order to provide my patients with the best, up-to-date care available. I am currently on the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Board of Governors of Maine, an active member of the Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Committee and the Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Committees, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Working closely with your primary physician allows me to provide complete and collaborative care. It is my privilege to provide you with medical and surgical services.
