My name is Ellie Burke and I am a licensed clinical social worker.

Before joining InterMed as a collaborative care social worker in the Behavioral Health and Obstetrics and Gynecology departments, I trained and worked in a variety of behavioral health settings, most recently at Northern Light Health and in private practice. Over the years, I have developed a passion and clinical interest in perinatal mental health and wellness, including family planning, pregnancy and postpartum, parenting and loss. I strive to create a safe and open environment to discuss significant transitions and challenges. The most rewarding part of my job is when I witness patients feeling empowered as they navigate life’s curveballs and achieve their personal goals.

When I am not working, I enjoy being outside with my two children and partner. We lived abroad in Norway for four years before returning to Maine. I am glad to have settled back into my home state and to have the opportunity to be an active part of the Portland community.
