Laura Peaslee PT, DPT
My name is Laura Peaslee. I was born and raised in a small rural town in Connecticut. When I came to the University of New England for the Doctor of Physical Therapy program, I fell in love with the beauty of Maine and all the outdoor activities it offers. Following graduation in 2012, I was fortunate to work as a team member in an outpatient clinic that focuses on manual therapy. There I obtained training in the Maitland, McConnell, and Mulligan approaches to physical therapy.
While I enjoy the diversity of treating a variety of needs, my focus and training has been on the spine. I am also passionate about working with athletes, especially runners. Utilizing my comprehensive evaluation skills, combined with my expertise in manual therapy and function-based therapeutic exercise, I work with patients to return them to their fullest potential and to prevent future injuries. At InterMed, I appreciate the interdisciplinary approach of the talented team of physicians and physical therapists who work together to develop and execute a plan to best achieve patients’ goals.
Outside of work, I enjoy running, mountain biking, sailing, cross-country skiing, exposure and exploration of new places and ideas.
