Rhonda Vosmus

Respiratory Therapist

My name is Rhonda Vosmus, and I am the Asthma – COPD Resource Specialist at InterMed. I have been practicing respiratory therapy for almost 40 years. I grew up in Freeport, graduated from Northeastern University, and became a Registered Respiratory Therapist. I also earned a bachelor’s degree in Health Education at USM.

I practiced neonatal, pediatric and adult critical care medicine for over 25 years at Maine Medical Center, and became a nationally certified asthma educator in 2001. I am grateful beyond words to work with our providers, clinical staff and patients at InterMed providing asthma and COPD education.

In my spare time I enjoy knitting, traveling, biking, and spending time with my grandchildren. A fun fact about me: I was a baton twirler for many years and the featured twirler at Freeport High School in 1978! I still like to throw a few sticks! And if I was not a respiratory therapist, I’d be a classroom teacher.
