Our Endocrinology team diagnoses and treats conditions related to hormones and the glands that produce them. We focus on conditions like diabetes, thyroid disease and metabolic issues, working to identify underlying causes and develop personalized treatment plans. At InterMed, Endocrinology works closely with your primary care provider and our Diabetes Team to coordinate your care.

What can I expect during my appointment?

During your Endocrinology appointment, your physician will discuss your medical history, symptoms and current health concerns with you. They may perform a physical exam, review relevant medical records or test results, and recommend additional testing, such as blood work, to better understand your condition. Your physician will explain their findings, answer your questions and discuss treatment options, which may include lifestyle changes or medical therapies.

Together, you’ll develop a personalized treatment plan based on your needs.

When should I schedule a Endocrinology appointment?

Your primary care physician or provider will initiate care and/or a referral when it is clinically appropriate for you to see an endocrinologist.
