We are currently experiencing issues with our fax lines; we are only intermittently receiving faxes for records and prescriptions at the moment. We are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

My name is Amy Kogut and I am a certified nurse midwife. I always knew from the time I was a child that I wanted to be involved in pregnancy and childbirth in some way. When I was at Simmons College, I had some excellent nursing professors that helped point me in the direction of midwifery. I am thrilled to join the Ob-Gyn team as one of the first midwives at InterMed. I’m really looking forward to building a midwifery service to meet the needs and desires of the community.
As a provider, being invited to share in the most intimate and vulnerable times in people’s lives is such a privilege. I enjoy building close relationships with patients that foster trust and shared decision-making. Once those relationships are built and I receive holiday cards or see a patient for routine gyn care after having a baby, it always feels so special.
As a recent empty nester of four children, my wife and I picked up and moved to Maine from Boston to be closer to family. I enjoy gardening, biking and having the space to walk outside. I appreciate the woods, fresh air and all Maine has to offer year round.
