We are currently experiencing a technical issue that is impacting our ability to receive faxes. As a result, clinical documentation and prescription requests sent via fax may not be received. Our team is actively working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, though we do not yet have an estimated time for resolution. In the meantime, we encourage patients to use the patient portal for prescription refill requests or to call your primary care provider for any urgent needs. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as we work to restore our systems.

My name is Beth Peterson and I have been a physician assistant since 2001.
I initially worked for a large cardiology practice for several years and then participated in starting the mid-level adult inpatient program at Maine Medical Center in 2006 before joining InterMed in 2013.
I am originally from the Midwest and graduated from the University of Notre Dame. Then I completed the Physician Assistant Program at the University of New England, which brought me to Maine.
With the transition to the outpatient setting, I look forward to being able to develop more long-term relationships with my patients while providing excellent care.
I live in Yarmouth with my husband, Todd, and our baby daughter. Although we are from away, Maine has become home for us and we enjoy the beautiful outdoors and friendly people that have become part of our lives.
