I’m so excited to join InterMed’s extraordinary medical team. I’ve been practicing Family Medicine for over 20 years, and what continues to draw me to this work is the relationships and the privilege of serving patients. Medicine is a collaborative journey. I learn as much from my patients as I hope to teach them about their health. In today’s fast-paced, technology-driven world, I believe building trusting therapeutic relationships is vital. In my approach to care, I strive to balance the remarkable advances in medicine with the deeply human elements of care: listening, understanding, and collaborating with patients to achieve their best health outcomes.

I grew up on a farm in Pennsylvania and attended college in Lancaster, followed by Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. My training continued with a residency in Family Medicine at Maine Medical Center. Along the way, I had the opportunity to learn from exceptional colleagues and mentors who shaped my approach to patient care. What drew my wife and me to Maine for training has kept our family here. We have raised our four children here, exploring everything from Bar Harbor to Katahdin and enjoying Maine’s beautiful beaches. When I am not working, you may find me cycling on Maine’s scenic roads, spectating in a hockey rink, or enjoying a great meal or snack with my wife and family.

I look forward to continuing to serve Maine’s community and getting to know you and your family.
