Hi! My name is Emma Chamberlain, and I am a board-certified physician assistant. Originally from New Jersey, I moved to South Carolina with my family when I was young. I completed my undergraduate studies at the College of Charleston and later earned my Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in Savannah, Georgia. I met my partner, a Maine native, while attending PA school in Savannah. Over the years, visiting Maine became a special part of my life, and I fell in love with its charm, natural beauty, and welcoming community. I’m excited to now be settling here and beginning this next chapter of my life.

I have always been drawn to medicine because of the connections it creates — getting to know patients, hearing their stories, and supporting them through every stage of life. I chose family medicine because it allows me to combine evidence-based care with strong, lasting relationships, partnering with patients throughout their health journeys. One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is creating a space where

people feel heard, respected, and empowered to take charge of their health. Every patient's story is unique, and it is a privilege to be part of their care.

I am thrilled to join InterMed because of its strong reputation for patient-centered care and a team-based approach. Outside of work, I enjoy being on the water, exploring new restaurants and coffee shops, antiquing, hiking, and spending time with my two cats, Dexter and Lola. I look forward to building my career and life here in Maine and making a meaningful impact within the community.
