My name is Erin Campbell, and I am thrilled to be joining InterMed as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been interested in medicine. I grew up in a household where medical research was a frequent topic of conversation, and I was always inspired by my mother’s work in the field of mental healthcare. However, during my teenage years, I also developed a deep love for music and art. This led me to take a detour, working in other fields before ultimately pursuing nursing. When my father-in-law was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer—and passed away just 10 months later—I knew then and there that I wanted to dedicate myself to a career in preventive healthcare.

What I love most about family medicine is getting to know my patients. I enjoy helping facilitate wellness on both an individual and family level. My passion lies in giving people the tools and knowledge they need to take control of their health journey and truly flourish.

In 2019, my husband and I moved to Maine to be closer to his family. We’ve loved the incredible access to nature that Portland offers. Outside of family medicine, I enjoy spending time with my son, husband, and pup, as well as listening to music, cooking, hiking, swimming, spinning, working on home improvement projects, and playing guitar.
