My name is Jason Ackley, and I am a physical therapist. I was born and raised here in Maine.
I graduated from Husson University in 2008 and moved to Scarborough, where I currently reside with my wife, Shawna, and our 9-year-old Pomeranian, Roxi.
The first seven years of my career were spent working at Bayside Employee Health Center in Portland, Maine. There I gained an in-depth knowledge of workplace ergonomics and safety, as well as a comprehensive manual therapy base consisting of strain-counterstrain, muscle energy and Kaltenborn mobilization.
Working with a diverse patient population, I look to balance manual therapy techniques with active exercise progression to achieve the highest possible patient outcomes. Being part of a team alongside experienced athletic trainers and other physical therapists creates a well-rounded core of knowledge and expertise that enables us to return patients to optimal health and well-being.
Outside of work, I enjoy playing baseball and golf. I’m also a movie fanatic and catch nearly every movie that comes out.
