We are currently experiencing issues with our fax lines; we are only intermittently receiving faxes for records and prescriptions at the moment. We are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
While I am originally from Minnesota, my wife and I have made Maine our home since 2005. Our family has grown to include three kids and a dog who keep our lives full (and interesting!). We feel fortunate to live, work, and play in this beautiful state. After practicing locally with another organization for many years, I am excited to be joining InterMed in May 2025.
I have always considered Sports Medicine to be a team sport—it takes the coordinated effort of many moving parts to achieve great outcomes for our patients. I think of Sports Medicine as a big tent: we care for musculoskeletal issues (joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones) as well as medical concerns related to physical activity for patients of all ages, abilities, and activity levels. I am equally excited to help a patient return to competition as I am to help someone get started with exercise or reduce joint pain in everyday life.
Both in and out of the office, I strive to promote physical activity as a key component of optimal health and well-being—Exercise is Medicine! I try to practice what I preach: outside of work, I regularly train in multiple sports and have completed an Ironman triathlon, an ultramarathon trail run, and several marathon-distance Nordic ski races. Exercise has entered a new phase in our household, as my wife and I now work hard to keep pace with our energetic kids.
