My name is Katherine Campbell and I am a family physician with InterMed at the South Portland location. Originally from Biddeford, I’m grateful to be back in my home state and serving the community where I grew up.
I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Maine in Orono, earned my medical degree in Poznań, Poland, and completed clinical clerkships in Chicago. I went on to complete residency in Family Medicine in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. My medical training across multiple regions and countries exposed me to a wide range of cultures, healthcare systems, and patient experiences which in turn has shaped me into the adaptable and empathetic provider that I am today.
I provide full-spectrum care for patients of all ages, with a strong focus on preventive medicine and supporting health through lifestyle and wellness-based approaches. I am committed to providing individualized care plans and making long lasting relationships across generations.
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active through running, weight training, yoga, Pilates, and hiking—often with my dog by my side. I enjoy seeking new experiences whether it is learning a new sport, trying a new restaurant, or traveling the world.
