My name is Katie Whidden, and I am an occupational therapist who has been working in pediatrics since 2015. I worked for eight years in Massachusetts, where I was exposed to feeding therapy, which quickly became a passion of mine. My family moved back to Maine in 2022, and I am excited to continue my career at InterMed. Clinically, I love supporting children and their families as they work through feeding difficulties. Eating is such a central part of our lives, and the stress of a child not eating as expected can be immense. I strive to support both the child and the family in making mealtime a positive experience.

In addition to feeding therapy, I also have extensive experience working with children with various sensory processing and motor difficulties. I work closely with families to support their child in maximizing success and independence in daily activities.

When I'm not working, I am busy with my two young children. We love the outdoors and spend a lot of our extra time in the summer at my family’s camp in Belgrade.
