I grew up on an organic farm in Washington State, providing food for families in our community. Thinking about the health of families has been part of me since a young age and becoming a family medicine doctor seemed a natural outgrowth of that.
To me, the magic of family medicine is being able to care for an entire family, through all ages and stages of life. Health is a journey with many stories and seasons. I believe that good care starts with a relationship and building a good, trusting relationship with my patients is my priority. Although I have a broad scope of practice, I do have special interests in mental health, weight management, and women's health, particularly the (peri)menopause transition.
Outside of work, my husband and I are busy raising our three beautiful and energetic daughters. When I can sneak away, I enjoy playing tennis, the local music scene, and hiking the trails of Southern Maine.
