Before I joined InterMed, I had the privilege of being an assistant professor at a large dermatology residency program. I can’t believe I have been here for almost 15 years now! My wife and I have 2 grown (and successfully launched) children and 2 rescue dogs. We especially love Maine’s beautiful beaches, snowy mountains and great restaurant scene.
I am a fellowship-trained and Board-Certified Mohs Micrographic and reconstructive surgeon. Mohs surgery is a precise method of moving skin cancers and offers the highest cure rate of any treatment available. I have received extensive training in dermatologic oncology including tumor removal and interpreting tissue slides with complex tumor biology. I perform a wide breadth of cutaneous surgical reconstructions ranging from simple closures to flaps, grafts and complicated multi-step repairs. I strive to provide compassionate, state-of-the-art care in a humanistic and ethical manner.
At InterMed, I can focus on patients and I’m lucky to work with a great clinical team. I have fun every day I come to work and love taking care of patients. I have served as the Medical Director for Dermatology and Mohs surgery and I am currently a member of our Board of Directors. I am a proud 10 year veteran of the US Navy, serving as a Submarine and Diving Medical Officer and Dermatologist. I look forward to meeting and taking care of you.
