My name is Kim Dekker and I am a family medicine physician.
I was born and raised in Saskatchewan, Canada, and my medical education has taken me to Grenada, New York City and New Hampshire. Work and family brought me to Maine.
I became a family medicine doctor because I wanted to care for patients and help improve their health and wellness throughout their lives. I love being able to provide care for the whole family, and enjoy taking the time to get to know my patients and for them to get to know me.
I have been practicing medicine in Maine since 2015, and am very excited to be joining the InterMed team.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time with my husband, son and black lab hiking the mountains and coastal trails of Maine, snowboarding, stand-up paddle boarding and traveling to see family in western Canada and Midcoast Maine.
