American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board
I am excited to be joining the growing Cardiology team at InterMed.
I initially went to college interested in genetics research, but quickly realized that my calling was a career in medicine after taking an EMT course for gym credit. I went back to school at Georgetown University to become a nurse, where I graduated with my BSN. I ended up staying in DC for a decade, working at Washington Hospital Center in the cardiac surgery step-down unit and then cardiac surgery ICU. I also met my husband there!
I went to graduate school at The George Washington University, where I became a family nurse practitioner. I moved to Cape Cod, where I worked as a nurse practitioner for the past six years in interventional cardiology and structural heart.
Although raised in New York, I grew up coming to Maine often to visit my grandparents in Fryeburg. When the opportunity arose to relocate to southern Maine and be closer to family, I packed my bags. Outside of work, I love to surf, spend time with my family and travel. My most memorable trip was a gorilla trek in Rwanda.
