I am Lisa Swanberg, a Family Nurse Practitioner on the Workplace Health team. Born and raised in Maine, it’s a true honor and privilege to serve the IDEXX and L.L.Bean communities.
I began my career studying Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Maine, and my work in neurodegenerative research in Boston built a strong foundation in science and critical thinking. That experience ultimately led me to my true passion—caring for patients—prompting me to pursue nursing. I went on to earn my BSN from the University of Connecticut and my MSN from the University of Southern Maine.
My clinical background is rooted in family medicine where I served as a nurse practitioner for 8 years. I enjoy focusing on holistic care, prevention, and lifestyle optimization. I also have a strong passion for women’s health, especially supporting those navigating perimenopause and menopause. As a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner, I’m excited to lead a workplace women’s health program where women feel seen, heard, and supported—right where they work.
In my free time, I enjoy cooking, painting, and spending time outdoors hiking and biking with my husband, Seth, and our two children, James and Anna.
