I received my physician assistant degree from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa in 1995, but have been in medicine since 1980.
I returned to Maine and started with InterMed in 1998. My clinical experience includes supporting patients to manage their complicated diabetes. Services that I provide are on the cutting edge of diabetes technology; insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors, from advanced technology to understanding the basics of diabetes.
Our care team collaborates with patients' primary care physicians, and together, we support our patients in managing their health. I take pride in developing a relationship with my patients, which allows me the time to listen, teach and treat each patient and understand his or her challenges.
I am a member of the Maine Chapter for Physician Assistants and served on the Physician Assistant Advisory Committee.
I recommend community resources and enjoy seeing patients at local boot camp classes. I also enjoy spending time with my family, which includes skiing, hiking and biking. In the summer, I take advantage of Maine’s outdoor music concerts and love listening to jazz and the blues.
