Growing up in New York City, I was inspired by my mother’s natural births and breastfeeding journey, which sparked my fascination with women’s health. After the life-changing births of my two sons and early work as a labor and delivery nurse, I found my calling in midwifery and developed a deep respect for supporting women and families through every stage of life.
With more than 23 years of experience in birth work in Maine, I am honored to join InterMed and help grow the midwifery service. I am especially passionate about returning to the Centering Pregnancy model of care, where the wisdom and strength of women guide their health and birth experiences. I enjoy all aspects of midwifery, with special interests in trauma-informed care and supporting women who have experienced addiction.
Outside of work, I enjoy biking, running, paddling, and gardening, along with a steady meditation practice. I also love music, travel, and—most of all—spending time with my two sons, family, and close friends.
