Meagan Schmersal, FNP

My name is Meagan Schmersal, and I am a family nurse practitioner certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

I grew up in northern Maine and completed my undergraduate education at University of Maine at Presque Isle, where I studied athletic training. In 2012, I moved to the Greater Portland area to complete my graduate education at the University of Southern Maine.

My clinical interests include: women’s health, care of the older adult, diabetes care, orthopedics and sports medicine. I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to make a difference in patients' lives every day while working with the talented InterMed team.

I value time spent listening to patients' unique stories and developing a collaborative, individualized treatment plan.

Outside of work, I love spending time outdoors with my husband and goldendoodle. You can find us exploring all that Maine and New England have to offer while hiking, biking, Nordic skiing, paddling, climbing and camping.
