My name is Olivia Walsh, and I am excited to be joining InterMed as a collaborative care social worker!
I attended Kenyon College and later received my graduate degree in social work from Case Western Reserve University. In the past few years, I have worked primarily with patients struggling with anxiety and OCD disorders. I love the creativity involved with coming up with individualized exposures and supporting patients to move towards their fears. I am equally looking forward to working with a more diagnostically diverse patient population here at InterMed.
I have moved around a lot throughout my life (Connecticut, Ohio, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Arizona, and Illinois) but have had my sights on Maine for quite some time now and am happy to have made it happen! For me, Portland is a perfect mix of nature and city. When I am not working, I try to get outside as much as possible – running, kayaking, camping, you name it. My dog Luna (and/or one of my foster pitties) is most often in tow.
I will be working at 100 Foden East – please come say hello!
