I grew up in the suburbs of Boston and after completing undergrad worked as an eighth grade science teacher for two years. I then made my first move to Maine to start medical school at the University of New England. My wife and I moved to Vermont for my residency and fellowship training and after seven years were excited to return to Maine.

As a cardiologist, I care for patients with a wide range of heart and vascular conditions. One of my passions is providing care to athletes and highly active individuals who have symptoms suggestive of underlying cardiovascular disease or established cardiac conditions. By applying sound general cardiology principles with an understanding of sports physiology, I strive to address the unique aspects of caring for the athlete’s heart. My other clinical interests include hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, valvular heart disease, nuclear cardiology, echocardiography and stress testing.

Outside of work, I enjoy running, cycling, hiking, skiing and spending time with my wife and two children.
