I am extremely fortunate to be part of the great InterMed team in Yarmouth!
After graduating from Williams College and prior to pursuing medicine, I was a teacher for several years in both traditional classroom settings and as an outdoor educator and trip leader throughout the world. I returned to the Northeast to attend University of Massachusetts Medical School, and my wife and I moved to Maine in 2003 after falling in love with the state and its amazing people. I completed my Family Medicine training at Maine Medical Center and my sports medicine fellowship with Maine Med. in conjunction with OA Centers for Orthopedics.
I came to InterMed in 2018 after working for 11 years in a sports medicine practice and an orthopedic group in central Maine, during which I also served as a team physician for Bates College athletics. I currently do per diem athletic coverage for Bowdoin College and am the Team Physician for Gould Academy in Bethel, and have served as the Medical Director for the Dempsey Challenge since 2009.
As a former competitive soccer player, distance runner and long-distance triathlete, I can appreciate the desire of all of my patients- regardless of their age- to get back from an injury as soon as possible. I also believe that maintaining regular physical activity is truly “the best medicine” and enjoy working with patients to help them maximize their ability to be as active as possible.
When not in the office, you can find me with my wife (also an InterMed physician) and two daughters blueberry picking, skiing, hiking, kayaking and going up to camp whenever we get the opportunity.
