I have been a practicing gynecologist at InterMed for more than 20 years.

Originally from Manhattan, I relocated to Maine with my husband in 2001 to raise my family of four children. I completed my undergraduate work at Yale, completed my medical training at Columbia and returned to Yale for my residency in Ob-Gyn and fellowship in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. I held an academic position at NYU prior to moving to Maine.

Though I previously provided obstetric care, I now focus on gynecologic care, fertility and women’s health. I have special interests in the menopausal transition, infertility, fibroids, pelvic pain, sexual function, aging, preventative care and positive health habits. I offer many treatment options and minimally invasive procedures for gynecologic problems and symptoms.

I value an individualized approach to patient care. I view myself as a partner to develop care plans to meet a person’s goals. I strive to get accurate information to patients so they can be empowered to make informed decisions about their own healthcare.

More recently, I have taken an interest in physician leadership and healthcare delivery. I have completed post-graduate certificates from the Surgical Leadership Program at Harvard Medical School and the Physician Executive Leadership Institute at the Daniel Hanley Center. I am a certified menopause provider through the North American Menopause Society and I am board-certified in Ob-Gyn and lifestyle medicine, an evidenced-based preventative medicine board. I am a co-chair of the New England Chapter of the Yale Alumni Non Profit Alliance, and I am on the Board of Directors at InterMed and at Let’s Talk Menopause. At Maine Medical Center, I am a member of the Council of Well-Being Directors and I have been a member of the peer support program since its inception in 2014.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family and two dogs, doing many of the activities Maine has to offer -- skiing, hiking, kayaking and taking long walks in the woods. I also enjoy travel, photography and good food.
