My name is Veer Pushpak Gupta, and I have been practicing medicine since graduating from medical school in 2012. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to live and work in London, Dublin, Singapore, Toronto, and New York, gaining valuable experience across a variety of healthcare systems and patient populations. I am excited to now call Portland my home and bring that international perspective to the community I serve.
Over the years I have had the privilege of caring for elite athletes, including players for AFC Bournemouth in the English Premier League, but my greatest passion has always been primary care medicine, treating diverse demographics and varied patient populations with both simple and complex healthcare needs.
I believe that the foundation of excellent healthcare is the relationship between a physician and their patients. I enjoy getting to know my patients and their families, understanding what matters most to them, and partnering with them to achieve their health goals and live healthier lives.
I am proud to be joining Intermed and working alongside such a talented team of physicians and healthcare professionals and aim to serve the patients in this community to the best of my ability.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy traveling and have visited more than 65 countries. I also love skiing, swimming, exploring Maine’s beautiful outdoors and national parks, and spending time on the cricket pitch or tennis court during the summer months.
