I started my career as an intensive care nurse, working in Switzerland for 15 years before spending a year managing projects with the International Committee of the Red Cross in Africa. When I returned to the US, I decided to pursue a new challenge and went back to school for dermatology. I quickly realized how much I enjoyed the field and the opportunity it offers to make a real difference in patients’ lives.
What I love most about dermatology is how rewarding it is to see patients fully recover. I find fulfillment in being able to diagnose a condition and then help treat it successfully. Dermatology is one of the few specialties where we often see complete recovery, which is incredibly gratifying.
I’m really excited to be joining the team at InterMed, especially after spending so many years in smaller practices. The opportunity to work alongside such an experienced group of dermatologists is something I’ve been looking forward to. I’m also thrilled to be back in coastal Maine, where I’ve spent a lot of my life. I can’t wait to enjoy the tides and fresh pine air again! Outside of work, you’ll likely find me swimming, cycling, golfing, or traveling to new places.
