As a Portland native and lifelong InterMed patient, I hold the organization and its staff in the highest regard, so much so that I dreamed of joining them. I happily did in 2020 – first as a nurse in Urgent Care and now as a nurse practitioner in Family Medicine.

I have learned and grown as a patient, parent, student and nurse through InterMed. I am thrilled to expand my career and services as a nurse practitioner within this wonderful community.

I was initially drawn to a medical career thanks to my late grandmother, who was a nurse. After working many years in her shadow at Mercy Hospital and caring for patients who were often both chronically and acutely ill, I was compelled to shift my focus to preventive medicine.

The motivation to pursue preventive medicine, build meaningful patient relationships and engage in patient education led me to return to school to become a family nurse practitioner. Whether helping a person to maintain their health, overcome an illness or live a more comfortable life, it is extremely rewarding and humbling to be in a role that allows me to make a positive impact during all phases of a person’s life.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my husband, our two young daughters, family and friends. We love exploring the ever-growing Portland food scene and relaxing at the lake – staying busy and having fun!
