Christina Edwards, DO
I am very happy to be returning to Maine, where I was born and raised, and joining InterMed. Even though I have been away for a few years, I am proud to consider myself a Mainer. I graduated from Bowdoin College and attended medical school at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. I then completed my residency at Maine Medical Center.
I have been practicing medicine in Northern California for the last 5 years as a primary care physician for North Marin Internal Medicine, a practice affiliated with the University of California – San Francisco Medical Center. I have also had the gratifying opportunity to take care of the clinic’s hospitalized patients at Novato Community Hospital and also act as a Medical Director at Novato Healthcare Center, a skilled nursing facility.
What I enjoy most about primary care is the whole-person approach: getting to know my patients and their families on a more personal level in order to provide them the best medical care and help them live their healthiest lives. I have special interests in preventative medicine, geriatrics, and women’s health.
My husband and I look forward to introducing our two daughters to Maine’s beautiful outdoors and its four seasons. After living elsewhere, I know that Maine is the best place to live and raise a family. I look forward to serving the Maine community.
