I grew up in southern New Jersey, in the land of the large blueberries, and then moved to Florida for some sunshine for almost a decade.

I always had a love for medicine, but got sidetracked as a scientist for five years learning the ins and outs of the immune system. While learning about infectious disease and autoimmunity, I realized I wanted to treat what I was studying, so I decided to keep going to school after my doctorate and ventured back up north for physician assistant school in lovely Boston.

It was during my first rotation that I found out how much I truly enjoyed general/family practice and so I took a position as a primary care provider up in the Bangor region for more than three years. It was there that I started to precept physician assistant students for University of New England and caught the teaching bug.

I took a full-time position as an assistant clinical professor at UNE’s PA program in Portland and then decided that I needed to get back to the clinic to treat patients.

I am now working per diem at InterMed’s onsite health clinic at IDEXX in Westbrook. I love seeing a wide variety of conditions and keeping up to date with all areas of medicine. The employees at IDEXX are wonderful patients and I enjoy keeping them happy and healthy.

When I’m not at work, I enjoy gardening, singing and exploring Maine’s natural beauty and its amazing food with my husband.
