Eleonore Werner, MD

Gynecologist & Obstetrician

My name is Eleonore Werner and I was raised in Middlebury, Vermont. I always I knew I wanted to be a physician. After graduating from Dickinson College, I worked as a medical assistant at a large obstetrics and gynecology practice in Washington, D.C. This is where I fell in love with this field of medicine.

Two years later, I attended medical school at the University of Vermont in Burlington, where I met my husband, who was also raised in Vermont. We moved across the country to Palo Alto, California, to complete our residencies at Stanford University. We loved California, however. we always knew we wanted to return to the East Coast. After three years in Ann Arbor, Michigan, we are finally back and are so happy to settle in Maine.

A huge draw to obstetrics and gynecology is the opportunity to take care of women through all stages of their lives. I love being able to empower them with the knowledge to make important decisions about their health and their bodies. I strive to provide up-to-date, evidence-based care and do so in a way where my patients feel seen, heard and respected.

When I am not at work you can find me spending as much time as I can with my husband and son. We love exploring the Maine coast and getting outside and moving in any way we can.
