Laurie Martens, PA-C

Physician Assistant

I have been practicing as a Physician Assistant since I graduated from Albany Medical College’s PA program in 1988. I received my bachelor degree in Biology at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and then went on PA school. I grew up in Waterville, but have lived in Southern Maine since I have been practicing medicine. I have worked at InterMed for about 25 years in Family Medicine.

I enjoy all aspects of Family Medicine and getting to know entire families from infants to grandparents. I have special interests in gynecology and in diabetes. At InterMed Family Medicine, we have a very cohesive group of physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants working together to make sure we take excellent care of our patients.

I am the mother of four amazing young ladies, and I love spending time with my family, traveling, and being active.
