My name is Michaela Silco, and I am truly excited and grateful to be a family medicine physician with InterMed. I grew up in NH and spent many childhood summers vacationing in Wells, Maine. I always knew Maine was where I hoped to set my roots and raise a family. I consider myself “almost” a Mainer, completing my undergraduate and medical school at the University of New England followed by residency at Maine Medical Center.

I was drawn to family medicine because it allows you to do it all. My interest in health and wellness developed over several years of being a competitive gymnast and collegiate softball player. Family medicine allows me to share my passion while having the opportunity to build trusted, respectful relationships with patients of all ages. I have a special interest in the musculoskeletal system and incorporate OMT into my practice. I also have a passion for teaching and enjoy educating patients and families to achieve better health and understanding.

Outside of medicine, you will often find me with my family. My wonderful husband and I have two lively children. We love planning trips, golfing, going to the beach, hiking, skiing, spending time with family and friends, and experiencing the beauty of Maine.
