Hello, my name is Corey Wilcox, and I am a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner.
I like to tell everyone I took the scenic route through my journey in medicine. I was a medical assistant for five years before going back to get my nursing degree. From there, I spent the next six years as an Emergency Department nurse. However, there was always a desire within me to serve patients in a higher capacity. I quickly turned that desire into action, spending the last four years as an RN within InterMed Family Practice while obtaining my master's degree from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences.
Being able to continue my journey in family medicine with my amazing colleagues here at InterMed is truly a gift. Family medicine allows you to build everlasting relationships with patients, to celebrate their successes, and to lend a helping hand through challenging times. I practice evidence-based medicine with special interests inCardiology, preventative medicine, and LGBTQ+ care.
When not at InterMed, you can find me engaged in various activities, including spin, intramural sports, pickleball, or curling up with a good thriller novel and my yellow lab, Frankie.
