We are currently experiencing a technical issue that is impacting our ability to receive faxes. As a result, clinical documentation and prescription requests sent via fax may not be received. Our team is actively working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, though we do not yet have an estimated time for resolution. In the meantime, we encourage patients to use the patient portal for prescription refill requests or to call your primary care provider for any urgent needs. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as we work to restore our systems.

Hi, my name is James Foster and I would consider it to be an honor and privilege to be your child’s pediatrician.
I have practiced pediatrics for the past 25 years and the principles of my practice are based on being both caring and careful. I have a profound respect for the trust and responsibility that families place in me to provide healthcare for their children.
I was born and raised in Maine, so I bring a lifetime of understanding to caring for Maine families. In addition to my general pediatric practice at InterMed,
I am also chief of pediatrics at Mercy Hospital and serve as the school physician for the city of South Portland. I also take an important role in the leadership of InterMed, having served on the Board of Directors for the past 12 years.
My special interests include dermatology, infectious diseases, asthma and sports medicine.
